Question People that have actually bought ebay headers, get in here...

I really need to know what you guys think of the famous ebay stainlesss steel long tube headers (not the QBX ones). Everybody that doesn't own them seems to hate them, but I searched the previous threads and nothing has been posted about them recently...

Anybody?

If you don't own them or have never installed them, please ignore this thread...

I had XS(ebay) headers on my 00'SS, fit like a glove. No problems at all, I bought them off of Ebay for $342 shipped. I don't know about the stainless headers they have on Ebay now.

I have XS headers on my car and they are great. The y pipe they sold wasnt too good at lining up but I ended up using a Hooker coated ORY and it works great. The holes on the flanges had a few problems lining up so I just drilled them out a very small amount bigger.

I have the (XS) headers off Ebay that I bought back in July of 2006 for $340 shipped. I have yet to have any issue with them. install was easy, and i cut off and welded closed the EGR/AIR provisions that were on them. they look awesome since turning a golden color they are now...

My XS headers dont have emmisions on them. Thankfully I got the ones that didnt somehow. Badass headers for the price and like SSwt says they have a nice brown/blue color.

I bought those exact headers off ebay a few weeks ago just to see if they would be any good. And they fit good except me having to grind the K-member on the drivers side to make clearence and the clearence is still only maybe 3mm. I didn't replace the motor mounts either, still on the factory 53k mounts that may make a difference with some poly mounts. They also do not have stainless flanges like the XS headers. I have some pics of them on the car, if you wanna see them I can PM them to ya. These headers are almost identical to my buddies XS headers except that flange not being stainless.

I bought them in Spring of '07. They shipped quickly, were packaged very well (no damage), and they were very high quality. Everything from the welds to the merge was impressive quality. Flanges are nice and thick, and everything is 321 aircraft grade stainless.

Fitment was pretty much perfect. Both sides slid in easily, no removing the steering shaft or notching the k-member. Only fitment issues I had were with the y-pipe, due to the drivers side collector being angled up too much (only real issue I've heard of with these headers). When I got my dual exhaust installed, they just had to put a bend in the exhaust so it wouldn't be too close to the floorboard.

Overall, I highly reccommend these headers. Can't beat the quality and fitment for the price.

Damn, where did you buy them for that much? I've never seen them for more than $380ish.
