getting ready to fab up an intake elbow for my vic jr. I have a 90 mm q45 TB that i'm adapting the TPS to work on an ls1.

Just doing some brainstorming, thinking about tig welding a carb hat with a 3.5 or 4 inch inlet to a 1 inch carb spacer and using that as my elbow.

Any reason to think that this would create some problems? Should clear the cowl nicely and since its a carb hat i was thinking the flow problems would be all thought out by the designers.

i think spectre makes two. one that is 2.5 inches tall, the other is 3 or 3.5. Both have a 4 inch inlet. Did you use the carb hat for a car or something else?

I was just thinking about how a setup like this would work out. I'd be interested to see an A test with the carb hat / intake on. Then a B test to see the intake with just the TB on there.
