Default Intermediate Pipe Diameter

What size is the Intermediate pipe on cat backs for cars producing 450 hp range?

My current pipe is 2.5". I was under impression most folks are running 3" I pipe.

stock piping is 2.75"

most catbacks are 3"

mufflex has a 3.5" setup that would do nicely for 450hp.....or run dual 2.5"
