Default Thoughts on BBK LT's

Any one using bbk's new headers yet? I was thinking about going with pacesetters with a tsp catted y pipe or off road pipe and have local shop put cats on it. These come in chrome standard with off road y pipe for 370. Any thoughts? Either one harder to put on?

I just ordered them yesterday from LMPerformance.com(sponsor) and they have free shipping on that order. I will let you know how they work for me.

Do you really need to remove the steering shaft and dipstick tube when installing the headers?

They aren't the only ones to do this and some you have to notch the k-member or grind a tab off the block.

I'm just trying to decide on either these or the pacesetters because I will probably get them sometime in may.

It takes about two seconds, tie a rope around it and give it a nice little tug, should pull right out no prob. It takes a min to find the hole again though when you're trying to put it back in. It's easier to have two people, one underneath the car and one pushing it in from the top.

Mine should be here tomorrow Ordered the ceramic coated ones from LMPerformance plus O2 sims because I didn't like the idea of cutting the harness. I really like the design. IMO the best set of headers for use with a 3 inch catback due to the 2.5 y pipe. My SS came with the Dual Dual stock and it's not getting removed.

Thanks for the help guys, I might just get them here in a another few weeks. Do you guys think it would be possible/a good idea to have the y pipe fitted with cats?

Depends, where do you live? In indiana, we dont have to go through any pollution stuff, so for me, im not using cats. If your state checks that stuff, i would recommend it.

I live in ohio. The only thing i worry about is that its against the law to not have cats on the car.

I wouldnt worry about it then. I would just check to make sure the police arent sticklers on the laws like that. They arent in indy so no problem for me. My car has been catless for 3 years with no problem.

The BBK longtubes should be here tomorrow.
