Default 5.3l truck intake

I have a 5.3L truck intake and I heard that swapping that out with the stock ls1 intake gets more power. Has anyone tried this? Does it fit because the 5.3 intake is taller??? Any suggestions welcome... thanks

I read an aticle where they dyno test a truck , ls1, and ls6 intake and the truck intake performed nearly as well as the ls6. I'll see if I can find it.

I found it chevy high performance july 04 It was a 6.0l truck manifold. It actualy made 1.7 more hp than a fast at 4700 rpm, 1000 rpm sooner, I would assume it was the 78mm not the 90.

Even if it did clear the hood which I'm not sure it would I would just spend the money and get a ls6 to keep that ugly massive thing off my car.

I have a 5,3 intake. It still won't fit. Unless you put some spacers in the K member or something.
