Default How bad is this choking flow?

I was under my SS today, so I decided to take some pictures of the Y-pipe the previous owner put on. The car is dropped pretty low, so that may have been the reason for the change. The car has kind of a high pitch sound to it when I gun it. Almost the whole Y is flat. Check out the pics and give me some opinions. The car is totally stock except for lid and flowmaster catback. I put a quart of oil in front of it to gauge size. Thanks.

that looks like the factory Y pipe to me. Long tubes and an ORY will get rid of that for ya!

Throw some LT's on there, you won't have to worry about choking any flow after that!

I just don't remember the Y on my 99 being that thin. There are two aftermarket cats welded into it too. Maybe that's why it looks different.

+1 let get some pics upstream where the factory cats go- right off the end of the manifolds.

My guess is he took the cats off to Gut them, and rewelded them in.

That also might be the "High pitched" sound you hear i think

These do not look like factory cats and I'm not throwing any O2 codes. I'll see if I can get some more pics. Thanks.

you won't regret getting LTs and a Y pipe if you do.
