Just curious...what is the exhaust popping at cold start I'm sure this is normal for our cars cause I've heard a couple of people talk about it.... 
what is the popping noise I hear out of the exhaust when I start cold.... only happens when I let off the gas...doesnt happen at idle or at acceleration. will it hurt anything??? can it be cured??? it has always happened on my car and has always happened on other friends cars too(ls1)

Re: Just curious...what is the exhaust popping at cold start no backpressure exhaust with unburnt fuel in the exhaust you run rich until it heats up and the air pump shuts down, hell mine does it alot even when it's hot.

Re: Just curious...what is the exhaust popping at cold start This is an air pump and cold exhaust thing!!! Mine did this for as long as the AIR system was still in the car. Now is wont do that...
