Default magnaflow is not quite loud enough. Any sugestions?

Well i just installed my pacesetter LTs/ory/ and magnaflow exhaust. It sounds good at wot but at idle or just crusing through town you just cant tell. Anything you guys think would change that let me know! Ive got a buddy with a ls6 with mids/ory/slp with a huge cam and its amazingly loud. Would i have to add a cam or slp or both. THANX!!!

a cam will help, or you can go the easy route and get a cutout. Loud when you want it, quiet when you need it to be. simple aye?

Yes, get a streetable cam if that is what you are going for and then make sure that you get an electric cutout over a manual one because it is 100 times easier and you don't have to pull over to open it up, you can just do it whenever you want to be loud.

Magnaflow is a nice exhaust. If you want it louder I would go with a cam or a cutout.

Also if you have an auto a stall will help with performance and also make the car louder around town since it turns more rpm's.

cutout, or you could change your exhaust to a LM1 which i think are way to obnoxious. A healthy cam will also get you there along with alot more power.

hell... with my LT's, ORY, H/C, IM etc... and I feel like my magnaflow is also still a little too quiet...

but it still sounds better than when I had my LM1 with these mods

if you want loud...go slp loudmouth II. thats the first thing i installed after the intake. That bitch screams. Then i installed headers and a y pipe, no cats, you can hear her from a mile away. If your not looking to change the catback again, everyones got the right idea, you can never go wrong with a cam! Ill post a vid for you as soon as i can cuz the car is in the shop til tomaro night. gl with your choice

Hey man, I just noticed you're also in Toledo. Just thought I'd say I don't know what these people's problem is around here but I have a LM2 cat back and most of my neighbors don't speak to me either, haha! Where you at in toledo?
