SLP Cold air as good as FTRA or SSRA
Just curious how this cold air kit stacks up to the FTRA and SSRA. Its much cheaper at 129.

the ftra is a sealed system, which in turn will give you better results.

FTRA makes an adapter to make the SLP CAI a true ram air set up. The airbox can be sealed with the SLP CAI. I have the SLP CAI and the FTRA adapter. I'd just get teh FTRA unless you find a SLP CAI for a steal. I don't know about the SS

SLP CAI does not go all the way out front like
the SSRA would. It's stainless and it gets hot
sitting up by the radiator. By my observations
it increased my IAT a couple of degrees over
using the SS hood alone, especially when moving
slow. But relative to a regular Z hood it's
still probably a bonus.
I since modified mine to make it draw from
above, rather than below, and shroud the
radiator less.
Good quality stainless construction. No reason
not to buy used....
