Default P&P TB: noticeable gain?

I have all the boltons except a P&P TB and intake manifold. I plan to get her tuned this summer and wanted to get my TB ported and polished but can't find a cheap or easy way to do it. My dad says he's not a pro with that and we'd have to buy tools. My friends dad could do it, but wasn't interested when i offered him $50. I know that new era performance does it for $75, but i'm really strapped for cash. is it worth doing???

definitely better throttle response. as for hp gains, doubtful unless you do the bumpstop mod at the same time.

A definate better throttle response. You tend so see more of a gain in cammed cars. Not so much with bolton cars.

You might was well just wait if you plan on doing a cam down the road. Thats my opinion, just cause you'll see the most benefit.

If you arn't planning on putting a cam or any other internal work, its up to you. You'll see a gain, somewhat.

Bo White ported here - nice improvement in throttle response, but I didn't see anything at the track. I think the results are worth the $75. I would do it again.

that was my first mod and I was shocked with the gain I got. More than the lid and ssra combined. Mostly better throttle response and stated, more low-mid range grunt. If done right you'll gain

I just used a die grinder with a cutting bit I got from eastwood. Them used sanding discs I also got from eastwood, and finished the sanding by hand. Them polished her up with compound. Just don't touch where the blade closes

I didn't notice **** personally. My butt dyno is weak though. I chalked it up as an "every little bit counts" mod.

I definitely chalk it up as the every little bit counts mod. The kind of mod that may push you .05 in et or .5 mph. Definitely a must if you are building up towards a cam.

Noticed a better throttle response, not sure about the rest.
