Default Stock exhaust?

Hi guys i just bought my 1998 WS6 and drove it home 1350 miles from texas to lovely ohio anyway The exhaust has one tail pipe on the drivers side. I spoke with the original owner and she says she never had the exhaust replaced, Looking at it the exhaust is welded and has a GM stamping on the muffler, with no provision for a second tailpipe. Is this the factory exhaust?

'98 ws6 did that....that year....they were also slightly(not much) faster than '98 z-28's because of that....muffler was less restrictive with a single outlet

I think '98 SS's were like that too. Kinda odd looking in my opinion. Hate to see an F-body - especially a WS6 - leave TX, but good luck with it and the mods!

Yes...In 98, both SS's and WS6's were the 2 0n the Left exhaust. I think it had something to do with exhuast noise, and the EPA tested on the right hand side. Therefore, the car passed with flying colors since there was no exhaust tip on the right side, or something like that...
