Exclamation Why would my stainless headers do this?!?

I just put these headers on about 3k ago (and had 5k before I got them) and they have this stuff on there. I'm not sure what the hell it is. Part of it kind of feels like spatter like from mig welding. The other stuff looks like its flaking, but its not because there is nothing actually peeling off. These are QTP stainless headers and this is occuring on the drivers side header. I looked from behind the divers side wheel well up and could not see where it could be coming from.

Default header peelin

looks like you ran over a plastic bag and it stuck/melted to the header - it will eventually burn off

Like the other two have said. Looks just like you hit a plastic bag and had it melt. Happened to me before.
