Default How to test for exhaust leak?

I may have an exhaust leak because my lc-1 reads way lean. I hear a slight tick once in a while on the driver's side but its not consistent. Car has longtubes, pacesetter y. I tightened all the exhaust clamps and everything lookgs good below.

just jack the car up. and rub soapy water over where the pipes meet. Make sure there is alot of suds. And then start you car. If there is a leak there should be bubbles. Make sure you do this on a cold start. Other wise the heat will fry the bubbles before you can check all the places. Good luck

check your header bolts.. especially the back ones. One of mine was loose once and it didnt tick all the time... Until i went and checked them and one was somewhat loose.

Have someone plug the exhaust pipe(s) with rags while the car is running. You slowly go over the exhaust checking for the leak. If you have an audible leak, this will make it much louder.
