Default Tips for disconnecting the steering linkage?

Still trying to install my headers. We're calling it quits for tonight. We're stuck on the steering linkage, we can't get it to come off. We took out the bolt on the top and the one at the bottom but it's still on there really strong. Does anyone have any tips for getting this stupid thing off?

Turn the steering wheel a little, then try wiggling the linkage off. Works every time -

Just tried it and still no success. I can see the hole where the bolt goes on the top, that's how far down it is now. I just can't get it any farther than that.

On the bottom it kinda clamps together. Try to pry with a screwdriver between there and one to pry it up. You have to pull the bottom off while sliding the top up on farther. Once the bottom comes off the top should pull right off. The first time is kinda tough but mine has been off/on so much it doesn't get seized on anymore.

Thanks!! I finally got it off. It was a lot easier taking the bottome off first. All I have to do now is get someone to come hold this header up for me so I can get the gasket and bolts on. Then I put new oil in it, re-install the steering linkage and the ac and I'm ready to hit the road. I can't wait for tomorrow morning.
