Default So Far So Good On Custom X-pipe

I Made This From Complete Scrap Pipes And Bends I Had Left Over From My Buddies Exhaust. The X Was A Bitch! Its Not Fully Welded Cuz The Welder Ran Outa Gas. Im Doin True Dual Over Both Sides Of The Axle. Already Modded And Strengthened The Upper Panhard Bar For Clearence. And It Sits Very Tucked I Will Provide More Pics As Time Goes On.. This Part Took Me About 2.5 Hours To Make Fit Perfect And Tack Weld In Place!! What Do Ya Think?!

Looks good, only thing I noticed is your x portion is a bit too small, i think you brought both the bends too close to eachother. Otherwise, great looking!

Yea I noticed that too after all was said and done. I measured the merge its @ 3 1/4" so still should get the job done I figure. When you look at it from one inlet its about 75% straight shot through the cross section. I mean with the right equipment im sure i could have made it better. All that is, is sawzall and mig welder. I will finish the over the axle part this monday or tuesday so ill post the rest up soon

Nice. I nearly did the same thing a few years ago. What problems did you have over the axle? Was it just hitting the undercarriage too much?

no my car is very low to the ground and i I couldnt make up for the axle not hitting the exhaust compared to staying away from the brake lines and harness. Not enough room to work with on the driver side so im just doin the 2 3" pipes over one side and ill have enough clearence for everything. I tried! damn slammed car

well here they are! the exhaust is 95% complete i still have to adjust the tips to angle a little more downward and away from the bumper. But everything clears just fine it may look like it sits low but my car is very very low to the ground so the 4.5 inch clearance i have is just fine. even with the car on the rack the torque arm clears as well as the driveshaft. Im happy with it just a few tweeks left! Not bad for a rookie welder with extra pipe layin around..
