Descreened MAF replace or not?
while puching it around 80-90 I can feel like a suddent stop then my car will pick up again but it triggered my SES, went to auto zone and they brought up my SES code which was P0101 or something like that but they said it was mass air volume. I check for oil behind my MAF but found nothing, So do I replace my MAF or buy SLP MAF for the same price? the GM supplier discount for the MAF is 151+ change and the SLP MAF is 155+ change. what do I do?
Thankx,
Thankx,

Try to find a used '02 unit in the Parts for sale section first. Most are getting real good results w/the stock unit left alone--especially on the '01-'02 cars. Just my opinion.... WJ.

If the only code is the PO101 the first step to diag. that code according to Alldata is to clean the wires in the MAF of contaminants. Contact cleaner on the wires gently cleaned with a Qtip might fix the code. Do you have a holly or K&N filter recently oiled?

holly but oiled first time which was about 1 1/2 ago but washed it out when the dealership told me that oil will go into the motor and if I had motor issues later and they find the oil inside it will void my warranty.
