Good job. Do you still have the cats on your car. I am willing to bet if you take off the cats it will probably sound like *** and an earful of drone.

Not drone, more rasp. I have macs and its pretty bad. A 18 inch bullet in the I helps a lot if you ever get headers

Congrats on teh GMMG!! It is a very very sweet system. I love mine. I have long tubes with no cats on my car and yes there is some rasp but only when the car is cold, and it is right at 1500-2000 rpms. It is not that bad. Believe me, I was worried about how mine would sound when I did the long tubes with no cats, but honestly it is fine. Oh and with my cam, longtubes, and the GMMG, I get comments from everyone - Harley guys, hot-rodders, everyone. Its pretty cool when a guy running chambered side pipes on a 67 427 vette comes up and says "your car sounds great"

Enjoy the system - it is absolutely worth the money.

By the way - did you get the tips - or are you using something else?

ClassicCollector...I also get compliments on how my hot rod sounds with the cam and my GMMG! The LT's w/o catz with this exhaust system sounds bad azz IMO!

I just ordered my gmmg exhaust yesterday and was planning on gutting my cats while I was installing it. Does anyone have a sound clip of gmmg with stock manifolds and cats and one without cats? I would really like to hear the difference in sound. TIA

Dont gut the cats, it sounds like *** and in some cases (clears throat) makes your car sound like a truck.

It won't sound bad at all with gutted cats. I can vouch for ClassicCollector's car. With his GMMG and cam, he turns every head everywhere he goes.

Right now I've got the Loudmouth, but I'm VERY seriously thinking about swapping the resonator for a chambered section... especially since I don't have the money for the GMMG.

Yeah...anyone, PLEASE, post clips of the GMMG w/o cats...I'm running SLP LTs, Y, and cats with my GMMG, but I'm considering losing the cats, but I don't want too much rasp and crackle!!

I just installted QTP longtubes, TSP catted ypipe and gmmg! I love the sound! Its quiet inside in the car cruising around town but loud when you get on it. I had a friend drive my car down the road and its definately louder outside the car than inside!

no. there have been people bumping TONS of threads from 2003 lately. i've been on this forum for about a year and a half and i've NEVER seen crap like this. why are all these people bumping all these ancient threads? and it's not even like they're newbies - these are guys that have a lot of posts here and have been here for quite a while. the guy that bumped this one has been a member since 2004!

after much thought, i finally understand why they're doing it. it turns out, they're doing it just to irritate me. that's what i've discovered the true meaning of life is - people exist only to irritate me. they're all out to get me. this isn't a joke.
