Default Need a better throttle body and MAF..help?

I have a 346 CI forged bottom end, Trickflow 215cc CNC heads, LS6 intake, equal length long tube headers, 85mm truck MAF, custom ram air. My throttle body is an OEM unit and the MAF is OEM truck.

My question is: "What throttle body & MAF would you guys run with an LS6 intake on a stock displacement motor?"

Thanks,

Bill

Port and Polish the TB would help. The maf should be fine unless your having problems with it. If you have a good chunk of change to drop you can do a fast 90/90 swap or use a ported LS2 with a Nick Williams TB. LS2's are 90 mm from the factory.

Agreed, the MAF is fine. Although, you should have the MAF table tuned to match the greater than stock air flow that has been created. I'd bet that the LTFT's & STFT's are going crazy trying to richen the added air @ idle & under normal driving conditions. I wonder about the 215cc heads on stock cubes. The reduction in air speed may be losing low end power & torque. Anyway, an 85mm TB is an inexpensive option as well. So, I'd go for the 85mm TB & a MAF table tune.

You would be wasting your money getting a new throttle body for the LS6 intake.

The LS6 intake has a 75mm inlet, your best bet is a ported stock throttle body. My friends are happy with the Jantzer Throttle Body.

i say you need to up to a 90mm+ intake/throttle body... you've got these great set of heads that are just ASKING for more air!
