Can I reuse my stock manifold gaskets? Can I reuse my stock gaskets when installing my long tubes?
I can buy new ones, but don't want to wait for shipping.
Any problems with reusing the stock ones? I got paper ones from Pacesetter but was told not to use those. Thanks for any help.

Re: Can I reuse my stock manifold gaskets? most longtubes come with a kit (sometimes a small fee...sometimes included....) that has new gaskets , bolts, and usually stuff for egr/air if the pipes are set for it...
Do not re-use any of that stuff...anytime you pull something apart you should use new gaskets and seals whenever possible....

DO NOT USE THE NEW ONES THE SEND YOU...those gaskets are cheap.. they tend to leak... if your stock ones are not good(which i doubt) go to GM and pick up a new set... they are 20 bux

Re: Can I reuse my stock manifold gaskets? Your local GM dealer should carry the GM Metal Gaskets, they are not that much to replace, Why risk it? Some guys can get away with it , other end up having leaks and going back into the job. To me its not worth the risk or the hasle..

Re: Can I reuse my stock manifold gaskets? I too have the Pacesetters. Went to my local Chevrolet dealer & spent a "whopping" $23.00 for a new set of GM gaskets. Piece of mind!! Will do the install this weekend.
Also bought the 02Ext,02Sim's, Stainless steel 3 in. band clamps, new plugs (NGKTR55)
Ready for action!!!!

Re: Can I reuse my stock manifold gaskets? The quality of the factory gaskets is very good and you can usually reuse them without a problem. Going with a new set never hurts though.
