Default POR-20 instead of ceramic coating on a y-pipe?

POR's web site says you can do it. Has anyone already tried this?

It also states that it does not adhere to smooth metal very well so I was thinking of getting some really rough sand paper to scuff up the metal before I clean and coat the metal just as extra insurance.

used some stuff like that a while ago on a set of stock manifolds form one of the 67's... worked ok.. at the price...lasts like 1 good year...But of course the new stuff, probably way more hi-tech

I painted my Y with it and it adheres very well. It's not quite ceramic coating but it stays clean and rust free.
