Question Slp 85 mm or stock!

i just finished up my 402 . I keep reading a fw thread that these are junk , but I also read where it could be a choke point?
I just bought one of these and was wondering if a stocker only holds 500 hp
then what do i need if i push more than that ?
What do tuners use when they have more than a 500 hp car come in ?
The last tune I got they told me i needed stock maf and that was the only way to get it tuned right/

I had the slp 85mm and my last trip to the dyno i had to switch back to the stocker after 2 pulls. I ran out of fuel @ 5,100 rpm and made 543rwhp, The tuner was confident with more fuel he could get me in the 600hp range. So the stocker will get you over 500, But i would like a bigger one as well. I've heard the z06 maf is 85mm... some one chime in please.

If you're getting tuned for it, go with the SLP 85mm unit. My tuner (TTP) recommended it and my car ran excellent with it until I eventually switched to speed density.

your better off with a z06/truck maf or just simply take out the resistor in the slp maf. then upload the z06/truck maf table in your tune. then start tweaking from there. friend of mine had a slp 85 maf on his head cam car and it ran excellent but when he installed his 440 he had to switch to the truck maf. the slp 85 maf is more for a stock VE table. soon as you have to tweak the stock VE for more cubes, the slp maf is useless
