Default broken header bolt....what yo think?

well, when i got my lq9 i noticed that the rear bolt on the passenger side was broke off flush.

i was like, ok, i gotta extract that before i put it in.

well months later, the engine is assembled, and it and tranny is bolted in the truck for good.

went to install headers and guess what....... damn broke header bolt still there.

i am using the sanderson s10 headers, with gobs of sealant, question is, will it hold? or should i pull the header, and drill/xtract.

i can get to it fairly easy from under the fender, (no fenderwells)

if you had problems you could unbolt one motor mount and jack up the motor a little for easier access.

yeah, but i have a fairly clear sightline to the bolt from under the fender, now that i think about it, i might be able to extract it without removing header. just drill and extract. i will try that.

if you have clear sight of it and still have problems, find a right angle drill. they work great in tight spots.

best bet is to just do it right the first time and drill and extract.

I was curious why you didn't remove it same day you saw it?
