Default What do you guys think about my Home ported TB

Let me know what you guys think. Its the first one I have done. Was wondering if you think I got enough material out i didn't want to take a chance breaking through. I also still have to do the bump stop mod and maybe knife edge the butterfly not sure if i want to do that. I also didn't want to do the epoxy either.

Looks like you hogged it out pretty well I'd say. I was affraid to do my own since it my only car now, so I just bought one from the for sale section. HUGE difference!

I was lucky enough to have an extra TB left from my 99 trans am. I just stayed away from and in front of the butterfly area.

Looks nice.

I wouldn't bother knife edging the blade.

I haven't had a chance to install it yet so not sure how it performs. I will be happy if i can tell the difference in this one and the stock one. Wasn't planning really to knife edge the blade because of all of the idle issuese I have heard about.

Not bad for a first shot. Still lots of material left in there though.

Default grind on

Keep grining.

If you break through, just some 5 minute epoxy on the outside will fix it.

I broke through on both sides, right above the throttle shaft, epoxied, and works flawless.

Yea I think I would rather keep from breaking through. If that epoxy ever comes loose and goes through your motor it will suck.

Default Epoxy

You put the epoxy on the outside, not the inside, it can't fall through, it'll be bigger than the hole.
