Default Running Rich after Bolton Install

Well last week I installed my headers, LS6 intake and poly motor mounts. Since then I've noticed I've been running pig rich (car had a little under 3/4 of a tank and I was pinned on Empty after only about 120 miles). I've read and deleted the codes multiple times and I always have a P0405 which is related to the EGR sensor being unplugged (I removed the EGR for my race headers), and I had P0154 Code which basically is the passenger side front O2 sensor is not working. I posted in the PCM/Tuning section and they basically said buy a new O2 sensor. So I went to the auto parts store today and ordered 2 Bosch 13111 sensors that will be in tomorrow. My questions are:

-Do you think this will fix the problem?
-My car has 110K. Is it worth it to replace both O2's or should I just replace the passenger side one?
-I'm about to make an 1800 mile road trip from MN to Phoenix, AZ. Anything I need to worry about other than getting poor gas mileage? I just changed the plugs to NGK TR55s when I did my header install, do you think I'll foul them?

I'm hoping the O2's fix this, but it's $150 I didn't want to have to spend.

Thanks!

I plan on getting a tune when I get down to AZ, but until then I want to see if I can fix the problem or at least put a band aid on it

well the sensor should do it, just make sure your car is not running lean after the new sensors because you could blow your motor since you have all that extra air flow from the headers and intake.

i say get a tune with a shop that will do re-tunes for cheap when you do decide to add a cam or whatever in the future.

not only will the tune help, but it will probably pull another 10-20 hp out of the new bolt on's you added.

completely normal man...like everyone said you need a tune..but to put your mind at ease my buddy ran long tubes, ORY, catback, LS6 intake, SLP flowpack, and smooth bellow on a stock tune for over a year and didnt hurt anything....just drive it down there and get it tuned....

hope this helps!

The problem is the P0154 code. That will keep the car in open loop. You need to shut off all codes that have anything to do with slow switching O2's. New O2's are not necessarily the answer.

Well, my buddy has a code reader so I checked all the codes again last night and deleted them. After that the only code I was throwing was the P0405 code which is the EGR code. It seems the shitty mileage is because of running in open loop. I think my plan of attack is to install those new O2 sensors (After all my car does have 110K on it) and hope that it cures the issue at least for the next little bit, then I plan on getting a full tune when I'm in AZ.

you definitely need new sensors and plugs, which you did replace, but without a tune they will go bad sooner than normal due to the richness, i say drive it as little as possible until you can get it tuned

Just replaced the O2 sensors with Bosch 13111's. Car is no longer throwing the P0154 Code so I think I may be in good shape for now. I'm about to embark on a 2 day road trip cross country so hopefully she behaves.

Thanks!

Post up when the code comes back!
Read the following link, the 13111 sensor are actually colder than the stock ones, they rarely solve this problem.
