Borla Owners.....Need your help
Here is a pic of my borla off my car. It seems, from borla's website that I am missing a small pipe that goes before the I pipe? Am I missing it, or is it not needed....
I have an SLP Y pipe on my car and it fit fine. IF you do have this pipe can you send me the length of it so I can get it made....I want to sell my borla.

I just did borla on mine, and despite what the people here are saying: IT NEEDS IT!!!
See my thread here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/960074-borla-exhaust-question-pipe-missing-stock-y.html
I bought the kit because of what the people told me, but the fact is the pipe IS NEEDED.
I ended up fabricating my own missing pipe by using the stock i-pipe and taking an electric saw to it.

The missing pipe is needed to connect that top piece to the stock y-pipe, without it the whole exhaust is too short to reach the rear of the car.

That might be with a stock y pipe....without it you may be okay as I was when I had it installed....I just noticed I was missing the pipe when looking online at the new ones.
I called borla and the pipe needs to be 16 inches long total. When it meets the Y pipe it needs to be 3 and 1/8 for 3 inches then it needs to be 2 and 7/8 for 3 inches when connecting to the I pipe on the Borla. 16 inches total.

I don't know about doing it without it, but I can guarantee that I NEEDED IT.

Not sure, but what I did to make my system fit is put that last borla curved pipe next to the stock one which are exactly the same shape except the stock one is a bit longer so it can connect with the stock y-pipe. I marked the stock exhaust at the point the borla ends and cut that part with an electric saw. I then substituted that stock i-pipe to connect the stock y to the borla system. This probably doesn't help you, but this is what was needed to make the system fit without that small borla pipe.
