Default EGR and AIR question

If i want to remove AIR and EGR when i install long tube headers what all do i have to do on a 99Z???

1) turn off all the AIR and EGR codes (LS1Edit)
2) plug the hole in the LS1 intake (best bet is to replace with an LS6 intake...get 10+ hp while your at it... ) where the EGR went in
3) get/make block off plates for the two AIR and one EGR tubes on the headers/manifolds
4) tune for the lean condiditon that always seems to happen when the EGR is removed (no more exhaust gas = more fresh air to burn = lean)

thats about it...
