well i believe there is a guy on here who buys them for $155 so you can do that and then buy an off road y pipe for stock manifolds. I have one that i might want to sell, send me a private message if you are interested.

You might want to see if that guy takes clogged cats first.
If you want to gut them just take a steel pipe and hammer to beat the stuff out.
Be sure to scrape the asbestos off the sides of the inside.

I ran some gutted cats for a while, they were all I had so I can't say it made a performance difference. Then I swapped them out for 3" pipe right off the manifolds to an Edelbrock ORY, noticeable performance difference by seat of the pants.
Then I swapped in Pacesetter LT headers and it seemed to get slower.

So knowing all that, if you sold your cats to the guy who buys them and use the money for the ORY to manifold the guy above has you'd solve your problem and gain performance IMO.

there is a link, and he does not care if they are clogged as long as they still have the material in them because he recycles them anyways.

Also you would have to cut out your passanger side cat to gut it than have it welded back in, i dont think there is a way to get the material out otherwise. The drivers side you should just be able to punch it out with like a broom handle and you should be able to get most of the stuff out.

I beat the stuff out of both with no cutting or anything. And you're not doing it with a broom handle.
I used a 20" long 3/4" solid steel bar, and a mini sledge.

I can do the driver side just fine. The passanger side will have to be cut then welded back into place
