Default New intake setup soon, Expectations?

Hey guys,

My MAF just went (96k miles) and i need to replace it, so im going ahead and replacing my entire intake setup. It will be a LS6 intake with a matching ported TB, and a 85mm MAF, what should i expect for power gains? 1/4 times? my car is a a4 3600 3.73 with full exhaust and LID, best time was 12.4 fully loaded with radials, car also has an aggresive tune from the vette doctors with a 6500 shift point, no knock sensors, and no emissions.

im hoping for 15 horse/torque and .1 on the quarter.

Do you have aftermarket headers? Also, you'll see better numbers if you get your MAF table tuned once the intake swap is made.

Here is what you should do.... Instead of buying an LS6 intake, go get your yourself a Fast 78mm intake manifold, used of course. The can be had around $500. Then take the top off of it and "massage" it out to fit the 85mm throttle body. This was very simple and only took a few minutes using the gasket that came with the 85mm throttle body. This way you have very close to the Fast 90/90 setup for a lot less cost. This is what I have done to my car and I am very happy with the results. It was suprisingly easy to do. I sold my LS6 intake in favor of this setup.

you might want to look into an 85mm lid also. I bet all your gains will be from the ls6 intake and ported tb. I really dont think you will gain any with the maf. But one you have an 85mm intake and tb or larger that bigger maf and lid will start to show more value.

i think a good 20 hp most likely, the ls6 makes a nice noticable gain uptop, over the ls1 manifold...

this will help especially with the 6500 shift point, suprisingly the car still pulls hard up there stock.

I didn't notice any increase by installing just the LS6 intake. The stock TB can only gulp so much air.

Yeah, the more supporting mods you already have, the more each mod will give you.

Your h/c setup demanded more air and the LS6 did just that.
