Default Exhaust Video - Got a new camera so I had to test it out...

Hey guys... just picked up this nifty little camera for a school project I was working on... decided to go outside and see how well it did. Turned out pretty nicely i'd say for a small little camera that's really versatile and is good for all the street fun that us gearheads tend to have...

not really even sure if it's cool to post this video in the external section... but I thought a few of you might like to hear an AFR/224/LT's/ORY/Magnaflow setup

anyways... enjoy the video

p.s. been trying to figure out what that "whistle - high pitched" noise is for a while now... i'm thinking my alternator might be going out, but not sure... car runs great so... any other theories? (wish i could blame it on FI )

hmm the few more cubic inches make that 114 lsa 224 sound like a 112 lsa in a 346...

funny how a larger displacement engine makes the cam sound lopier....

nice car...any track times....oh and what camera is that????

I know... i need to. I need to get all the right adapters, and drive over to my buddies house who has a garage and tools... I hate living in an apartment complex without a garage and tools!

thanks man

no track times yet... I'm a little reluctant to take it to the track until i get a new rearend... still debating on which one to go with... but lately I've been leaning towards a 9-inch with 3.73's

the camera I used was this... I can get em for about $100 if anyone is interested... it's great for on the fly recording and easy uploading to the computer... just plug it in

dude, you are *** backwards. Larger displacement makes the cam lope less. As if you could tell the difference between a 112 and a 114 anyway, you dont even know what rpm his idle is set at!

@ Will

I believe their set between 800-850... I'd need to go and double check, but it's somewhere close to that...

Hey Wes, it almost sounds like a vaccum leak. Checked all your hoses?

well, i've stuck my head under the hood and tried to locate where it's coming from but really can't tell...

if it was a vaccum leak, wouldn't it run kinda funky?

Yeah it probably would act up a little. I didnt know how old your setup was though, whether you just did the install, or if you had been driving it for a while. I guess alternator would be my next guess. By the way, sounds good man

eh... i've had the setup for 3-4 months now... it's pretty much had this noise all along, but seems to run just fine... thought it was my AIR pump for a while. Took that sucker out, and it still seems to do it. My volts are fine right now... but if i remember correctly in the past when i had an alternator about to go out, it made a noise similiar to that... I will say right after my build, I washed the engine bay, and when I started up the car, my volts were going haywire! Pegged in the red at 18 volts and fluctuated up and down... after about 2 days of sitting, it was fine... apparently something got wet that wasn't supposed to... i'm thinking maybe the alternator regulator. Now it's fine, but i'm wondering if there was damage that was done...

and thanks bro

Car sounds great man! I just recently switched from TSP duals to Custom Y/Flowmaster Collector/Magnaflow Cat-Back. All I can say is that I love it! sounds very deep and throaty and not ridiculously loud and raspy. I enjoyed the duals but I had to change it, attracts to much attention to CHP.

I will get a video soon.

yea... I had the SLP Loudmouth before the magnaflow... and I will say I miss the loudness of it. But I don't miss the drone and rasp of the Loudmouth. The magnaflow is much quieter, but the tone and sound has much better quality and overall sounds more serious at the light
