Got photos of my new dual setup, sound really good.
He insisted he take one of the car with me in it...
View from the back, can't see much of the exhaust from the back.
He took this one from right behind the air dam
Since everyone seems to take a picture with a pepsi can, we thought a beer can would work well, having a few at the time probably didn't help our photo taking ability however. Note the car has 1.75 lowering springs in it, it sits very low. We have to jack the car up first with a bottle jack to get the lift under the car.
The Cats ended up with a much better path. I decided not to fight or worry about the CA smog laws so I am passing on the LT headers We should have taken pics of the old stock setup, yikes it was bad....
The X pipe, that he wasn't 100% happy with it, he thinks he could have made it look better. He noticed in the photo he didn't get the ends exact, and he would move the joint back a bit from under the cross memeber if he does another one.
The rest of the photos
He said he can make this setup for other cars and ship it, if anyone is interested in it. The system doesn't drag, now the cross memember piece near the x pipe drags over a spot at my son's school, but not the exhaust.
Anyway, I am very happy with the system, how it sounds and performs.

VERY nice work for a muffler shop. Very nice welds for a muffler shop too. For some reason, 99.5% of people working at exhaust shops lay some pure MESS down despite running a MIG every damn day... WAIT, nevermind! They do fab work and welding... THAT explains it! LOL! Nice system.

I don't know if it's reasonable or not, but he said he would/could mock up this setup for another car for 1,500 plus shipping. Don't know if that's a good price or not, and that would I assume include the cats, since that was part of what he did for me. The guy does good work, this is the sixth vehicle he has done for me, all of them have looked this good.

We'll see what I can come up with then, my GF has a Camcorder so I will see if she will help.
I can tell you, I didn't pay 1,500 for it, but then again, I have done lots to keep him from paying taxes, and kept the IRS nice to him, so he really likes me........
maybe he would work on the price if he new it was to high? What you think is fair, aren't some of the single cat back systems in the 1,100 to 1,200 range as it is?

i say for an out the back system like you have.. especially with no headers. i would say around the 6-7 hundred dollar range.. because he can buy an X-pipe and not have to fab one up every time. And the pipe does'nt cost that much. oh and my muffler guy was going to do up a dump system for me for around 300. and he does good work like yours.. so figure 300-400 more for the extra pipe and bending that your guy had to. most of the cost will be from labor for sure.
Sound clip or BAN!!! J/K!! Looks good though. But really.. sound clip!

GMMG, Corsa, Borla are some of the highest price catback systems out there
and there about $900-$1000
but they're stainless steel and use high pricest mufflers
he used aluminized steel and some bullets.
I would say it should be around $700+shipping.
But that is a very nice setup
get some clips

he did a good job, don't get me wrong...but he will NEVER sell a single catback for over $900. not like that anyway. if it were all stainless with mandrel bends, and something besides bullets, maybe...there are too many high quality kits already available in the aftermarket for a "local shop" to realistically compete, at least doing it on the side like you've suggested.
nonetheless, it looks killer. only thing i'd change is shoot the welds with some rust inhibiter or spray paint like he did the rear muffler. now, WE WANT SOUND CLIPS

For example my "Special Landau" as we call her still is running a system installed in the mid 70's. Granted it's a kick to look under her and see the almost 4 foot long bullet glass packs , but nothing more than a bit of surface rust on the system after 30 plus years.
I think my white birds exhaust might be almost that old also... so I really don't car about stainless that much past the headers.
And thanks guys for the compliments on the exhaust, really tho it's pretty mello at idle, but I am comparing it with the tone of my olds and it's big block seems tame in comparison.
