Default SLP, BORLA, MAGNAFLOW, ETC.

Which should I go with? Money is tight. The only system I've heard installed is the borla cat-back. But is the borla worth paying twice as much as the slp loudmouth? The slp system looks tempting cause i could get it now. How will the sound compare? Is there any way to quiet it down after install if it is louder than I want? Will it be louder than the borla? sorry, so many questions..... so little time.....

I dont think its worth it...if you want something mean and aggressive either get the LM or do the Dynomouth Setup...it sounds deeper and has less rasp than the LM. All you need is a bullet #24222 muffler welded in the I-PIPE and remove the stock muffler...they will have ro fabricate a Y-PIPE in the back so you can keep ur dual exits. Total price? $100 - $150 for installation, $35 for the muffler. Sounds awesome

I had the LM and it is raspy-I switched exhaust's when I had my headers and off road pipe installed-the LM is raspy but sounds very aggresive and mean.I would go with the Dynomouth if you dont want rasp.

Borla and Loudmouth...But thats my opinion. I've heard almost all of the LS1 exhausts out there and the SLP dual/dual is by far my favorite setup. I did really like my $100 Magnaflow muffler when my exhaust was stock, but it was too loud for my taste with headers and ORY. Those first two are just too damn obnoxious. A nice refined exhaust note goes a long way.

I have the Borla and like it, like being able to adjust it also. But if money is tight you could look at Hooker catback. I've heard good things about it and it's cheap. With the loudmouth it seems like a love it or hate it thing, loud. Way louder than Borla.

The Borla is a waste of money. You're paying for the name more so then anything else. I love my Loud Mouth and it is not too raspy. Gut or remove the cats and that'll make for a different story but a Bullet race muffler will fix that problem.

I don't like borla because of its sound. loudmouth sounds like crap, too.

MagnaFlow is the best sounding system out there that I have heard. That is one of the only systems we use in the shop. I have seen more people remove other systems in trade for the MagnaFlow.

On a scale of 1-10 of loudness, how does the Magnaflow compare to the Loudmouth? 10 Being Loudmouth loud.

Then same scale for rasp, 10 being Loudmouth rasp.

Loudmouth is the sickest, loudest exhaust I've ever heard. Simply craps all over Borla and especially my flowmaster setup. But in all honesty, a cutout is the way to sound beast and get all the attention.

Personally, I like my Rumbler Catback from Texas Speed. It's basically a Dynomouth, but is completely bolt-on (no welding required) so it's an easy do-it-yourself. My car with Pacesetters and ORY sounds extremely mean, with no rasp. In fact, it's easier to live with than my stock setup through an open cutout was... that was rasp city while cruising on the freeway.

Best of all, the Rumbler is pretty damn cheap at $299.95 (including tips)...

Amazes me how sensitive people are. The Loudmouth on a stock car is simply amazing, and I never heard this rasp everyone claims it has.

Now I hear it, ORY and headers, later.
