Any tips on exhaust pipe removal?
I have a busted CME on a 2002 SS (not a warranty repair) that I need to remove and repair. The 90 degree exhaust elbows appear to be compressed by the clamp and don't want to come off. Does anyone have clever way to remove the pipes without destruction, as I'd like to be able to reuse them? The only thought I have is to cut a few 1/2" tracks along the pipe with a dremel to gain some relief/play.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've always just cut them off cleanly with a Sawz-all reciprocating saw. Then just welded them back up later. Some guys get crafty and weld two 3-bolt flanges where they make the cut and just bolt it up later. Gotta cut the midpipe just after the bend upwards where it starts going over the axle.

Using two hammers, or a hammer and dolly, hammer all the way around the pipe where the clamp was with one hammer while holding the other on the opposite side of the pipe. This will flatten the surface and loosen up the pipe.
