Default SLP dual/dual VS. Corsa

right now i have the torquer 2 cam with ported 5.3 heads/ kooks 1 7/8s with ory and slp dual/dual. i have a corsa lying around that i was gonna try out but i dont know if it's worth to swap the catbacks out. i like the sound of my dual/dual. just wondering if i would gain any ET at the track if i put the corsa on. i seen some threads that people say the dual/dual flows well but does it flow better than a corsa??

i'd just stay with ur setup if you are just trying to get some gain from it. I doubt the corsa will give u anything that u will notice, if any. Unless u want a diff sound, but u said ur satisfied with the way yours sounds so... hope this helps some

With the Corsa i would imagine that it will be little more raspy. With the dual/dual you prolly ahve no rasp at all

all ive ever heard is Corsa + LTs = rasp. FWIW, Corsa & Borla for that matter flow just as well as the dual/dual. but those are for cars that either 1.) dont care about rasp with LTs or 2.) dont buy LTs. you buy Corsa for the sound really. if you want free flowing, go TDs, although, in your situation, i wouldnt bother as your dual/dual flow great for a catback.

i allready had borla on my car. i liked it but i just got sick of it. lol i still have the borla laying around as well. rasp really doesn't bother me cuz all f bodys are either quiet or raspy IMO. if there is no gain from it then i wont bother to swap them. i just wanted a little more gain. with a 220/220 cam i was hitting 12.0 one after another. i just kept thinking...if i had the corsa on here..would i be a 11.9....11.9....11.9... but i swap the cams out allready. hopefully with the TV 2 cam and a tune, i will hit mid high 11's full weight with 1.6 1.7 60's

My Corsa, Long Tubes, and High Flow cats from Dynatech = NO RASP.

The cats give a great sound through out the RPM range, either inside the cabin or on the outside.

All of them flow enough where it really doesnt matter. Its not going to change it that much to make a signifigant difference.

sorry guys...I disagree with the Corsa+LT's = rasp...

Hooker LTs, TSP Y pipe, Dynomax bullet in I pipe, Corsa catback....sounds amazing about 98% of the time. Just a hint of rasp, if you're about 3/4 throttle between 2500-3K RPM's, that's about it. Sounds evil damn near all the time.

Buddy of mine had Corsa, Cats, LTs... sounded real good. Deep all over and up top just flat out screamed. Then his cats gutted themselves and it sounded just as good with a hint bit more of rasp in the mid to top.
