Default poly mounts raise engine height??

Has anybody had these mounts raise their engine up?? The elbow on my intake use to be fairly close to my hood but now I can't even get the hood closed. I can get it to catch on the latch but I can't push it down any further. I did alittle research and it looks like the solid mounts raise the engine up also. I hate to go back to stock mounts but I'm not sure I have much choice.

i guess you have the polly mounts that you reuse the old "clam shell" like this?
did you assemble/ install the mounts correct? I had no change in height from my stockers to my poly mounts.

Mine seemed to sit a touch higher as well with the Thunder poly mounts.

Of course, this was after a swap, so it could have been a few things.
I ended up cracking the lettering on my FAST intake on the STB....as the SLP STB sits really low as it is.

Yes, those are what I have. Very basic and only go together one way that I'm aware. I'm wondering if maybe the holes are off alittle going through them? I guess I'll just switch back to stock mounts. If you have a standard style intake it could be raising the engine and you probably wouldn't even notice. The stock ones being softer could be sinking down some with the weight of the engine on them.
