Default magnaflow?

wondering how u guys like the sound of the magnaflow system. never heard one in person on an fbody but have heard alot on custom hotrods. they always seem to sound very nice. are they worth the money? do they have alot of interior resonance?

My personal favorite sounding exhaust (aside from duals).

I have duals with Magnaflow mufflers.

The sound quality is great. You can listen to some on ls1sounds.com , but there's a certain rasp in those clips that is not heard in person. I'm not really sure why the cameras pick up the sound that way.

It's a good choice for people who want longtubes and an ORY. I love how mine sounds with the cam. I really enjoy mine. It's also nice that it won't cost you an arm and a leg like a corsa or GMMG catback.

Have to agree 304 SS and the best sounding catback for f-bodys out there! If it wasnt for the SLP LM and LTs I would get another Magnaflow for my new Z.

Magnaflow is a good catback system. Some people don't like it and say it's too quiet. It's soft and deep, not too loud.I really like it with my Kooks Lt's and cats.Tr224 cam and ported 317's.It is the best system for the money.I guess it is a mater of taste. The corsa is too raspy,The Gmmg is too loud. They cost a lot more money.Just my 2 cents. It's a good quality
system(Magnaflow). You can't go wrong with it.

I have nearly the same damn setup as you... I hated mine originally. It was way too quiet, as in my parent's Altima was probably louder. Over 500 miles later and it's actually developed a nice tone (probably because of the cats breaking in a bit). I like it now, a lot. Has a real deep growl and rowing through the gears has a loud but not overly high pitched wail. I'll probably put a cutout on just for those times when I want to be much louder.

^ Yeah, go for it. I got a cutout for my setup (LT's/ORY/Magnaflow) and it's the best of both worlds. I love the confused look on cops faces as they try and figure out where the loud noises came from down the street.

Good design, subtle sound, and stainless steel. What's not to like?

I love my magnaflow best bang for the buck! Sounds really good i love it, but i installed it and it seems crooked, idk like the pipes are nice and level but the driver side comes out more then the passanger, I only notice this cus im like a perfectionest but idk, still worth the money and sound! I cant wait for my LT's and ORY!

The magnaflow was on my car when I bought it. It sounds nice no interior noise and with a six speed you can keep it wisper quiet on the highway. What I dont like about it is the tips are made as part of the pipes so you cant change them. Ill be getting the loudmouth 1 soon. The magnaflow is a little too tame without headers or cam.

It depends on your mods. For my setup it was extremely loud and raspy. On a stock car they sound good.
