Question Mac Midtube Headers?

i have a lowered car. lowering springs and no isolators. are mac midlength headers a good investment? are they as good as a longtubes powerwise?

i know a few people who run 'em (one guy is lowered 2" i believe) and he ran SLP LTs and had clearance issues with them. he switched to pacesetters and hasnt had any problems since then. so i dont see why you dont go with LTs but you have your reasons. as for power difference, i think ive heard its about 10whp, i could be wrong but thats what ive seen around here. might not notice but if you go big cam or stroker sometime, youll wish you had longtubes.

10 hp isnt that big of a deal to me. just confused. i know how LTs often recommend changing to poly mounts and didnt feel like swapping mounts. ya im not planning on a stroker or cam on this car. just going to keep it stock internals

do mac midlengths require poly mounts like LT's?

Just go with hooker or pacesetter long tubes.

You'll wish you did later on, if you go with the mid lengths.

Poly's don't add much cost to the job (figuring on you doing the labor yourself). Given that, it's hard to find a reason not to do it when the manifolds are out of the way.
