WS6 and Cold Air Intake or Lid?
I know I know... check the archives... and I have... over and over. It seems like there's a massive debate back in forth about getting a CAI AND LID or just a lid or nothing is you have a functional hood.
Bottom line... I'm new to owning a WS6. It's got a functional Ram Air Hood. Should I just stick with the stock setup and just get a lid or should a get a lid WITH a CAI? Getting a CAI makes the Ram Air Hood obsolete, correct? I need some help and a clear-cut explanation please. Sorry I know this topic has probably been beat to death on this site.
Thanks,
Adam

I see the CAI is debatable in the adding HP department, but does it take away from the Ram Air? I read somewhere that it's an either or application... run CAI or keep the Ram Air and that the performance difference is next to nothing either way.

I was looking at the JAAM kit earlier this morning... is it really worth the extra money or is it just for looks?
Also, I've read about fitment issues with lids... are some brands more notorious for having fitment issues?

There's a little too much drama on here sometimes about lid fitment. It's tight getting it on the MAF, but other than that the SLP lid is excellent. As for cold air, you have the scoops, use them. Debaffle it, add the JAAM kit, and you have a nice straight shot of cold air directly to your intake. Don't go with an undercar CAI that will pull dirt and potentially water into your intake. My 02.

from research ive done its almost pointless to debaffle the hood without sealing the hood to the air box. yes you can seal it up cheaper with some weather stripping from the local parts store, thats what i tried first and i didnt like it, the JAAM RAM was worth it to me, im very happy with it JMHO, and yes it feels like it pulls harder around 55+ mph.

Good to know... If nothing else, it looks like it "cleans up" the engine compartment in the front there, but glad to hear there is a noticeable difference in the feel.
