If you want as 85mm, why don't you just get a GM one and save some money, PM me, I have a screened one and a descreened one, no porting on either that I will sell.

i want the 85mm SLP MAF because i was told the SLP 85mm MAF will work in the LS1 f-bodies where the GM 85mm MAF which is originally for corvettes will not work on the f-bodies properly.

You just need the wiring adapter.
http://www.currentperformance.com/Ac...iring_acc.html

Get an inexpensvie GM MAF and this adapter and then you can use a MAF table from a Corvette to get you a base MAF tune.

will the corvette base MAF table work correctly in the f-body LS1 PCM?

can the SLP 85mm MAF use the stock 75mm MAF table in the LS1 f-body PCM? or i will need another base MAF table that is for an 85mm MAF?

The SLP maf is plug and play...This is straight from SLP's website:

Mass-Air-Flow Sensor, 1998-00 LS1 High-Flow

SLP's high-performance 85mm mass-air-flow sensor flows a whopping 895 CFM (90 more than the stock 75mm MAF)—enough to improve engine output by up to 10 horsepower. Or, remove the screen (not recommended on street cars) for an incredible 1000 CFM of air flow! This lightweight composite unit weighs one pound less than the factory MAF and is fully capable of supporting engine applications making over 600 horsepower. Compatible with stock and modified engines.

NOTE: For use with stock PCM tuning.

If you don't have to change your tune does it really make you more horsepower, hard to believe, but that's how they make money. Yes, the Corvette table will work plus you can save money for more mods.

The SLP maf has a tune built into itself. It will automatically adjust your timing for a little more performance. All you do is plug it in, and in about 15 miles (your car will buck and stumble a bit, then smooth its self out), your car tunes its PCM to the MAF's settings.

I definately felt a differance with the maf installed.
