??'s for guys running TR6's
After I installed the Heads and cam on my car, the idle got just slightly rougher.. not bad enough to set a misfire code. I was running TR55's then. I swapped my original patriot 5.3's for some updated ones about a month ago, when I did the swap I changed over to some TR6's gapped at .050.. ever since then I get that nagging SES light about once a week because of misfires and my idle is alot rougher. Am I running too big a gap on the TR6's? Is the plug just too cold? Or is it something else?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It's a pcm thing. Find someone that has a tech II and get them to do a idle learn or some people call it crank learn procedure. Basiccally It lets the pcm know what's normal as for crankshaft speed flucuations. I think that will fix your problem

You don't think I'm running to big of a gap on the TR6's at .050? I never had this problem with the TR55's. I can watch the misfires with my AutoTap and it is pretty much in all the cylinders, but only at idle or every once in a while when it is very low RPMs in 6th gear.

Ive run TR5s TR55s and am currently running TR6s.
I would say your gapped to wide, you might try to reduce it to .04, and if you are spraying on a gap that big, that is your problem.

Yeah, I'm thinking my problem is the gap. I am only spraying a 50 wet shot, but the other night when I sprayed it at the track it started misfiring at WOT. It never did that before I changed the plugs. I'm going to take them from .050 back down to around .040 tonight and see if that helps.

Cool.. I'll do them at .040, I'll never run over the 50 shot, hell I went so far as to throw the 100 and 150 jets in the garbage so I wouldn't be tempted to use them on the stock fuel pump with my heads and cam.
