The power steering pump seems to be overdriven with the stock pulley, so the only thing you will do with an underdrive pulley is make the pump last longer because the underdrive pulley will spin it slower. These pumps seem to be somewhat prone to failure. I've never noticed a lack of steering boost with my ASP pulley.

I would recommend a crank pulley at least. I have never had problems with either of my cars with a crank pulley.

If you have a concern we also offer a 10% underdrive pulley by the same company that makes Yella Terra rockers. PBM 10% $199.00

Since you have a 6-speed go with the Underdrive crank pulley, and if you have a stock stereo system go with the underdrive alternator pulley too.

If you have a aftermarket stereo drawing alot of power then just get the underdrive crank pulley and NO Alternator pulley.

The Overdrive alternator pulley is for Automatics with big stereos that can't get a full charge, and will cost you some power since it speeds the alternator back up so you get enough charge for your accessories while giving you some of the benefits from the underdriven crank pulley.

I have a 6-speed and have the underdrive crank and alternator pulleys and my car stays right above the red voltage gauge when I have everything on(AC, headlights, radio) and only at idle, while the rest of the time the voltage is normal.

Good Mod!
