Default Exhaust piping

Ok so I have a small problem. I traded my stock catback to a friend for his hooker catback.

Now I have LT's and a TSP ORY.

On his car I guess his y-pipe doesn't shrink down at the end to 2.75 like most. So he had to get the hooker expanded at a shop so it could slip over the y-pipe.

Now on my TSP ORY is shrinks down to 2.75 so it should slide over the midpipe. But my new one is expanded to 3 in's so it doesn't fit anymore.

Now my question is what can I do to make this thing fit again. Is there anyway to shrink it back down to 2.75 again or something? I'm kinda stuck now because its so loose it rattles like crazy and leaks like hell to. Anyone have an idea?

I'm confused... Is the y pipe to small and the I pipe from the cat back is fitting loose. Or is the I pipe to small for the Y pipe? The I pipe should be sliding over the y pipe.

Yeah the y-pipe is 2.75 at the end and the I pipe is 3in. The I-pipe is to big and fitting REALLY loose. Rattling like crazy and leaking like hell also.

Take the y pipe off and have a exhaust shop flair it up a little so the I pipe slides on tight.

Only other thing I can think would be cut off the end of the I pipe and put in a splice peice. But you'll to clamp it or weld it. so having the Y flared would be the best bet.
