Default another catch can ?

just recieved my revxtreme catch can today and currently have it all mounted up..

now, im not using the breather or anything like that, just the basic between the pcv and rest of line

from what i understand i DONT touch the line running from the throttle body to the valve cover, and use the line with the pcv valve...i took the foam covering off that line, and the line seems pretty hard, is this the one i cut?

i searched already and just want a good, clear answer

thanks

You will want to leave the plastic line alone. Well when I had the LS1 style PCV system I actually trimmed mine back to remove the bend towards the intake since I mounted the can on the opposite side.

Not sure how the RevXtreme is made...does it have two port (upper and lower)?
if so, you will need to run a line from the valley to the catch can and the other from the catch can with the PCV inline to the side of the intake. YES you cut the hard plastic piece but leave enough to be able to slide a piece of 5/16" hose onto it.
If you go to LS1HOWTO.COM and read about the LS1 to LS6 PCV MOD it will show you how to do this (cutting of the PCV plastic piece).....it's about half way down the write up.

i looked on their website, but didn't see how to cut it

so i just cut it, and with the supplied hose connect both to the catch can

even though i have an ls6 intake i still have an ls1 valley, correct?

How long did it take for you to get your catch can from them? Thanks.

i ordered it on a saturday, but they weren't getting another shipment in until friday

it took about 5 or 6 days to ship, simply because ups is kind of slow, and i was halfway across the country...but it is a real quality peice and well worth it

I think I used my sawzall on it. Yes, you will have the LS1 valley, I just wanted you too see where to cut it. Hopefully it turned out okay for you.

Technically you would only need a hose from the PCV valve to the can and then from the can to the intake.

Is your can mounted on the front P/S of the engine? If so I commented that mine is in the same location so I trimmed the plastic tube back to remove the bend. I reattached the valve to the trimmed line and then ran the hose from the valve to the input of the can.

All 2001 and 2002 fbody's came with the LS6 intake and LS1 valley cover.

The hose from the middle of the P/S valve cover to the TB is left alone like you stated earlier.

The RevXtreme can has a integrated PCV check valve already in the can. You run the hose you cut that is running along the pass side valve cover (cut it back 4-5" from the frnt of the valve cover, it has foam around it and is hard plastic underneath. A razor knife cuts right through it). to the top fitting on our can, then from the side fitting of the can to the vacume nipple on the intake manifold snout. If not doing the breather mod leave the hose from the frnt of the pass side valve cover to the TB intact.

Excelent! How about a "The RevXtreme oil seperating catch can cured my oil issues" !!! Glad it worked as designed.
