Default LT1 Radiator <1" core?

Ordered a new Proliant LT1 Radiator as an upgrade for my 01 SS. It came with a core thickness less than 1". Looks like they have cheaped them out and went with a smaller core. There website still states 1-3/8 thick core.

Does anyone know where I can get a new factory style LT1 radiator with the 1-3/8 core? Not interested in an all aluminum replacement.

Thanks in advance.

GM doesn't make the thicker LT1 radiator anymore. The one that is available is still much better than the LS1 radiator. I bought a new one on ebay at a decent price. Here's a pic I took comparing the two.

I got mine from Oreilly Auto Parts with a lifetime warranty. http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/Displ...cycleCount=940
When last I checked they also have them at Autozone or Advanced.

Thanks DrkPhx,

I did some more searching and found a Delphi radiator on ebay. Looks like it will be the right one. 34mm or 1.33" thick by the specs. Will see when it gets here.

Went down to the local AZone and they sell transgo-now-proliante radiators, had them open one up and sure enough, less than 1" thick.

FYI not all LT1 replacement radiators use a thicker core and the manufactures aren't updating there distributors. Make sure you can return the radiator if it's not right.
