Wow. WS6 has nothing to do with the engine at all, they both have LS1s. It is an appearance package mostly. The engines/transmissions are exactly the same. It will be a drivers race most likely if both cars are stock.

an ls1 is an engine, a ws6 is an appearance package. they're the same car, if the ws6 says his is faster because it's a ws6 and has a ram air hood, dick slap him in the face.

WOW i was right REALLY DUMB question thanks for the replies...I asked the kid with the WS6 if he had an LS1, (i had only noticed it was a black firebird w/Ram Air hood that looked really clean) he then responded WS6 as if it were the motor........so i started asking questions here....what do u think about a 98 Z28(LS1) thats COMPLETELY STOCk v.s. a WS6 firebird with nothing but exhaust......neither car has a driver/ both cars are autos

both cars being autos then driver really doesnt matter much, but the ws6 should win b/c of the mods. only one way to find out though

Doesnt the Ws6 also have an improved handling package? I am pretty sure it does. WEll the ws6 should win, they have a afew more ponies from the ram air plus exhaust would pick up a few.
Well is this a trick question...if neither car has a driver then neither will win!

that "ram air" wouldnt make a bit of difference at any speeds under 80, an ls1 is an ls1

the biggest difference in any ls1 car is that the earlier years have and ls1 intake manifold and the later years(dont remember if it started in 00 or 01) have ls6 manifolds. so if the ws6 has the ls6, it should take the 98.

Also remember the weight difference between a Z and a WS6... The Z should be a bit lighter.

i dont think its enough to compensate for the ws6s mods......i dont think its enough to give the advantage stock vs stock
