Default LS1 intake porting

Can any power be had from porting/polishing the regular LS1 intake? I know I should get a LS6, but that costs money... Or are the runners setup differently? I have a spare LS1 intake and nothing but time, so thats why it crossed my mind.

Thanks!

if you have an extra go try it. supposedly the plastics pretty thin so there's no much to port and you can't get the bottom off easily so it's hard to get inside. even if you could just do a little to free up a few more hp it's better than nothing.

Well first question is what are your mods? I mean the LS6 will flow with the stock heads pretty well, but if your just doing bolt ons......and no H/C.....the LS1 isn't terrible......

x2

ls2 intakes arent horriable to take out of consideration due to the dramatically low price, and minimal decrease in power over ls6
