Does anyone else have this problem? I had the SLP MAF, bellows and lid, and my lid rubs. I put my stock bellows and MAF back on and my SLP lid still rubs. When I first installed the lid, it did not rub? Anyone know what will prevent my lid from rubbing the hood?

Mine doesnt rub that I know of...I dont know how it would, its no taller than the stock lid. Maybe yours isnt on all the way.

if all else fails throw some black foam tape on the spots it rubbs.

my mti lid rubs a little bit, its not a big deal as long as your lid isnt rubbing to the point where it might crack.

My MTI lid on the '99 rubs slightly. Enough to rub the paint off a small spot on the underside of the hood. But not enought to damage the lid.

I just place a piece of study black duct tape on the spot where it contacts to prevent any further damage.

Did you put the paint on the hood or on the lid? Did that prevent marks from getting on the lid?
