I have this set-up. very loud, very raspy. if you havn't bought the loud mouth yet. I would suggest something else. I had to weld in 2 flowmaster race mufflers right behind the tips to kill the rasp cost me about $160 save your self and get another cat-back. or if you like it that way... get the LM. hope that helps

With any headers and off road y-pipe your going to have rasp with the Loud Mouth. I have Hooker LT's and a LM and it's still raspy after putting an 18" bullet muffler in and 2 chambered mufflers spliced into the LM to make it look like a GMMG exhaust. If you don't want it to rasp you can either put cats in the y-pipe or try your luck with some little mufflers in the y-pipe and maybe kill some of it. I think everyone will agree that MAC headers have by far the worst rasp of all the headers though if you try to go with an ORY-pipe.

The only way to have no raspy sound with MAC headers is to put two bullets in the y pipe or run cats in the y pipe and with either y pipe setup you will also need a quiet catback like the SLP dual/dual to make sure there is no raspy sound.
