After a long fiasco of getting my car to run right after home porting, I'd say de-screen it and leave it the hell alone.

If you're going to go with a ported MAF just port the stock one. Usually gives better results and is much cheaper than an entire aftermarket MAF. A word to the wise...Becare of this mod if you have an A4, I've seen it posted that it can cause erratic line pressure at WOT and lead to slipping clutches. This is a bad thing.

Don't port the MAFs, leave them alone, at the most descreen it. If you get into tuning your car yourself, it's damn near impossible to be Part Throttle LTRIMs to work out if you port the MAF. Leave it stock.

i understand a stock tb is fre-er flowing than the mouth of the intake, so porting the stock one will not increase airflow, only lean the car.. if you happen to pick up hp by porting your meter.. it was because your tune was off, not because it is a restriction..

I've been following this thread... so most of you guys are saying to de-sceen the stock MAF and that better than an aftermarket MAF ???

Will this work on a stock setup with SLP lid, KN filter and smooth bellows without retuning ???
