Default White smoke 160,xxx miles

Ok heres the deal my car has alot of miles and has white smoke comin out the tailpipe and has had a knock for as long as i can remember. I have done much to the engine just headers and i was wondering if it would be wiser to rebuild the engine or just by a stroker. Im lookin at 5 grand or so in the amount i have to spend and i would like to keep the car for as long as possible. So the engine will either need replacing or rebuilding and keeping the headers is a must. thanks for any and all help

Probly head gasket or piston rings. What's your goals when its all said and done? Check with some of the sposors for some forged SB's I got mine from texas speed... great price and great service. If your thinking of a power adder (blower or go gas) You could save some money and forge your moter if its reuseable or a 347ci SB from a sponsor. Or if you want all moter spend some more $$ and get more cubes or a stroker.
