Default new rear seal and forced induction guys?

Gm changed out the rear seal and some guys are saying they leak no matter what. One guy said he runs them backwards. Not exactly sure when gm changed the real seal design either?? I got a new one and it has plastic thing in there to guess help install it haven't taken it out of the package yet.

I would like to know who is running these new seals with boost up to 20psi.
Also one board member says he has reused his main seal with no problems and my main seal don't leak and my 99 ta has only 12,000 miles on it so was thinking to just reuse it. Never put boost thru it though either.

So can the new seals hold boost or not? Engine is going together in next few days and don't want to be ruining my tex twin disc. But I am paranoid about the rear seal now!

WIth a good PCV system you shouldnt worry much about blowing seals out in my opinion. The plastic ring is just to keep the seal round,a nd the lips protected during shipping. Not used during installation.
